BBC weather forecast says Bristol is in for a change this weekend

The weather this week has been all over the place, with soaring temperatures and driving rain.

We were swapping sun cream and shades for the brollies and cagoules. A respite from the weather changed from an ice cream to a hot bowl of soup for many in Bristol as the week progressed.

The county experienced a mini-heatwave earlier this week when a plume of hot air from the Azores brought high temperatures to large parts of the country.

Then later in the week, stormy weather put the kibosh on the summer weather, causing rain to pummel down across the region.

This weekend promises a change.

It looks like we can expect more temperate weather, according to BBC forecasters.

Saturday

Throughout Saturday (September 11) there will be a "light cloud and a moderate breeze".

Temperatures will hover around 18C throughout the day and diminish in the evening to around 15C at night.

Sunday

Tomorrow (Sunday), Bristolians can expect "light cloud and light winds".

Temperatures will be slightly higher at 19C for the majority of the day and then diminish again the evening to about 15C at night.

However, light rain is predicted to fall at the close of the weekend during the night - this will continue throughout Monday.
