BBC Vigil: Rose Leslie revealed to be eight months pregnant whilst filming hit series

It won't be long before BBC's Vigil is set to end - as sad as that new is.

But with the six-part series' finale due to air on September 26, there are still a lot of questions we have unanswered and people who we still heavily suspect for killing Burke - aka Martin Compston.

And whilst some people try to decipher the clues in the hit TV show, such as the hosts of the Shrine podcast, others discovered one secret a crew member had whilst onboard the submarine.

In an episode of the podcast, it was revealed that Rose Leslie, who plays DS Kirsten Longacre, was eight months pregnant whilst filming.

As the hosts wrapped up the podcast, Brendan O'Loughlin said: "There was a lot of shootouts this week for the wardrobe guys on Vigil saying they did an amazing job at hiding Rose Leslie's ever-growing baby bump."

Co-host Rebecca Shekleton replied: "Well I didn't know she was pregnant" whilst O'Loughlin admitted he didn't either.

The 34-year-old admitted she had to "keep apologising" to the backstage team for her sickness and nausea.

The Scottish actress best known as Ygritte in Game of Thrones told the Express: "We were in a quarry in the middle of nowhere in the beautiful Scottish landscape. The vastness was out there in front of you, and I was feeling very queasy because I was about eight months pregnant.

"And just before I had to film my scene, I had to run behind a bush to be sick!

"So I kept apologising to the hair and make-up people whenever they came anywhere near me because of my breath!"

Vigil continues on BBC One on Sunday at 9pm.
