The BBC has come under fire after Sarah Harding's name was misspelled during a tribute to the Girls Aloud star.
Viewers voiced their upset after BBC Breakfast spelled her name incorrectly while her tragic death was being discussed on the morning show.
As her friend Lizzie Cundy paid tribute to the singing star the caption read 'Lizzie Cundy, friend of Sarah Hardy.'

Heartbroken fans were horrified at the blunder, which the MEN understands was made in human error, less than 24 hours after her death was announced by Sarah's devastated mum Marie.
"Who's Sarah Hardy? At least get her name right on the caption. Pretty lazy and disrespectful," commented one viewer.
"BBC Breakfast interview regarding the death of Sarah Harding put up a caption saying Sarah Hardy. So important to get those details right, especially when dealing with grief. Do better," said another.
"Shame on you BBC for the banner this morning on @BBCBreakfast quoting Sarah Hardy and not Harding!" said another viewer.
"'Friend of "Sarah Hardy'??? Really BBC? How utterly disrespectful to get Sarah Harding's name wrong! Apologies?" raged another.
Yesterday Sarah's mum shared the terrible news that the Stockport-raised singer had passed away, aged just 39, after her battle with cancer.
In a heart-breaking post on Instagram Marie broke the news that her "shining star" had died after her shock diagnosis with advanced breast cancer last year.
Sharing a stunning black and white portrait of her daughter, Marie informed Sarah's fans and followers that she had "slipped away peacefully" on Sunday morning.
Marie thanked friends and fans for their support since Sarah first shared her diagnosis in August, saying "it meant the world to Sarah to know she was loved."
Sarah shot to fame when she won a place in the girlband Girls Aloud through TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
The girlband, who split in 2013, went on to have huge chart-topping success.
The singer had announced she had been diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer in August 2020, revealing that the disease had spread to other parts of her body.
In March 2021 she released her autobiography, Hear Me Out, and had spoken openly about hoping to help others to seek early diagnosis.
The BBC declined to comment.
