It may feel like The Traitors has only just started but the final is now fast approaching. Only five contestants remain in the competition after a string of banishments and murders.
The nail-biting reality television show started with 22 strangers who met at a castle in the Scottish Highlands for the ultimate game of backstabbing, lies and deceit. While the contestants have worked together every episode to add money to a prize pot, hidden among them are traitors whose job it is to "murder" one of their fellow players every night.
Everyone else in the game is labelled a faithful. It's their job to detect who the traitors are and banish them from the game before they become their next victim. Amanda Lovett, Alyssa Chan and Wilfred Webster were the original traitors handpicked at the start of the game, but only Wilfred remains after he turned on both his co-conspirators and got them eliminated.

Wilfred then chose to recruit Kieran Tompsett into the fold during the penultimate episode and the pair decided to "murder" Andrea. The second to last roundtable then saw the remaining contestants wrongly banish Maddy Smedley. It means there are now three faithfuls and two traitors left in the game.
They are Wilfred Webster, Kieran Tompsett, Hannah Byczkowski, Aaron Evans and Meryl Williams. The final will air on Thursday, December 22 at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer when the winners will be announced.
For the lucky ones who survive the final roundtable, they have the chance of winning a life-changing amount of cash. But if a traitor remains undetected in the game, they’ll take all the money for themselves. Who do you think will win, a faithful or a traitor?
