BBC The Apprentice in Wales: Zipline makes grown man scream in terror

Zip World in the Penryhn Quarry professes to have Europe's longest ziplines as well as massive underground trampolines and high-rope cavern adventures.

It's a great day out and lots of fun with the zipline boasting a 250ft drop and 40mph speeds, it gives even the most seasoned thrill seekers a few pre-launch nerves.

The Apprentice candidate Akeem is one of our firm favourites this series.

Always ready with a side-eye glance when someone does something silly or says something foolish, he's the one we can most relate to.

And never have we more related to Akeem than we did this week.

First, Lord Sugar's aide Karren Brady went down the Zip World zipline, giving a little shriek but nothing too earsplitting.

But then it was Akeem's turn and, as he was strapped onto the Zip World high wire, he looked slightly intrepid, despite having spent the morning counting down for other people and shouting: "Scream if you wanna go faster!"

As he himself launched from the platform it was clear... well, let's just say, he obviously wanted to go much faster.

"Oh my gosh," he said once his feet were firmly planted onto land.

"Our guests are going to love that," agreed Kathryn.

Back in the boardroom, Lord Sugar wasn't going to let Akeem's screams go without a bit of teasing.

Lord Sugar said: "You tried the zipwire and you found it rather exciting. Screaming, from what I heard."

Kathryn tried to help her colleague saying: "He was a bit scared, weren't you Akeem?"

"I was a little bit scared," agreed Akeem.

"I wasn't as scared as Akeem," added Karren.

The Apprentice is on Thursdays, BBC1 at 9pm
