BBC Strictly star shuts down break-up rumours as she hints marriage could be on the cards

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has shut down rumours that she and boyfriend Joe Sugg have split. The 33-year-old has also hinted that marriage could be on the cards for the couple.

Last year, it was speculated that Dianne and Joe had broken up after she flew to Australia without him. Speaking of this, the dancer said: “It makes me laugh that people think I wouldn’t go and see my family without Joe. It blows my mind.

“He knows I don’t live anywhere near my family, so if there is any chance I can go to see them… He doesn’t have to come with me everywhere.”

During an interview with The Mirror, Dianne also said it would be “great” if YouTuber Joe, 31, popped the question one day. She admitted: “We haven’t really spoken about it, so if it happens, great. If not, we’re happy with how things are going.”

They were runners up, alongside Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice and Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev, behind series winners Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, who have just become parents to baby daughter Minnie.

Dianne and Joe confirmed that they were living together in August 2019. In February 2021, they revealed that they had bought a house together. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
