BBC Strictly's Kaye Adams practises dance moves while making dinner at home ahead of rehearsals

Kaye Adams has joked that 'making dinner will never be the same again' as she dances around her kitchen in a pair of heels ahead of Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals. The 59-year-old, from Grangemouth, was named as the latest celebrity to be added to the line-up last week.

The Loose Women host and radio presenter will be joining the likes of former Coronation Street stars Kym Marsh and Will Mellor on the dancefloor when the hit BBC show returns for it 20th year this autumn.

Kaye made the announcement on Friday in an online post and apologised to her kids, saying that 'no children should be subjected to sight of their mother thrusting their hips'. And it looks like she's already getting into the swing of things after posting a video on Instagram of herself in a pair of heels, cutting some moves, while making dinner.

She captioned the post: "Making dinner will never be the same again."

The video starts with Kaye tapping and shuffling her feet in black heels, before throwing to her doing some hip action.

Kaye, who lives in Glasgow, is a broadcaster best known as an anchor on the ITV topical discussion show Loose Women, as well as for hosting the morning show on BBC Radio Scotland.

Last week, after she was announced as the fourth contestant who will be taking part in Strictly, Kaye said: "So yeah, it's true. What have I done? I mean this is so not me. This is so not me. I mean outside my comfort zone doesn't even begin to describe it.

"But do you now what sometimes you've got to take a leap. And I am... leaping. Can I also just apologise to my children. I mean no teenager should be subjected to the sight of their mother thrusting their hips, so girls, I will try and keep it to a bare minimum. Promise!"

Having started her career as a news journalist she has presented programming for various TV channels including STV, the BBC and Channel 5. She also started her popular podcast, How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams, in 2022.

Kaye joins Will Mellor, Kym Marsh, Richie Evans, Jayde Adams and Ellie Simmonds on the Strictly line-up so far.
