BBC Strictly It Takes Two host Janette Manrara halts 'love fest' after Helen Skelton shares way Gorka Marquez 'winds her up' that viewers don't see

Jannette Manrara jokingly halted a 'love fest' between Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez as the pair heaped praise on one another. The Strictly Come Dancing pair were chatting to the show's former professional dancer on spin-off It Takes Two on Thursday (November 3).

Helen, 39, and Gorka, 34, were discussing their last performance on the BBC One dance contest's Halloween special which saw them score a solid 32 out of a possible 40 from the judges with Motsi Mabuse throwing out the 'F word' as she told the Countryfile presenter she was given her 'final vibes'.

But when asked by Janette, who co-hosts the BBC Two show each week with Rylan Clark, if she fears the dance-off after suffering a 'scary' moment during the latest results show when she and Gorka were left until the end to discover they had made it through to week seven, Helen replied: "Oh every week."

She then revealed that her Spanish dance partner isn't actually too forgiving when it comes to the results show. "Also, he winds me up all the time," Helen added. "When we're waiting to go on and everyone else is going 'it's fine it's fine', he's there going 'oh better get ready [for the dance off] Helen,'"

"It's not winding you up, we don't know if we were going to be in the dance-off," Gorka said in his defence. "I just try to keep my body ready for if I have to dance again. I like to put myself in the worst-case scenario and then if it's not the worst-case scenario it's good news." Helen then added: "And he's nice and warm."

Janette had earlier asked Helen: "You were told by the judges you were giving 'final' vibes, are you feeling the pressure now of getting to the final?" Helen replied: "I'm really superstitious so I don't even think about next week. I just think about Saturday one day at a time, so it was really lovely of her to say that and I appreciate it but I just want to work hard have a good time and learn.

"And if they say something I can work on that's fine, anything else I just stick that in my back pocket, save that for a rainy day." Gorka then gushed: "I just love the way she listens to everything I say and tries to take it on board and always does her best.

"On Saturday in my honest opinion it pays off because when she dance to me she makes it look effortless, and that's what you want as a dancer, you know it's not easy but when you make it look easy you know something is working so I'm very proud of her and what she does."

Helen added: "No, you're nicer than me! I'm nicer than you!" as she playfully pushed him on the shoulder with a smile. Janette then stopped their play fighting, adding: "Oh stop it, it's a love fest!" as the pair laughed. This weekend Strictly viewers will see Helen and Gorka performing a Jive to Janelle Monáe's Tightrope.

And Gorka has been left impressed by Helen in the trainign room: "In seven weeks I've only seen her sweat twice." he said as they discussed the fast pace of the upcoming routine. "She has stamina for days, I think having three kids, she never stops, and doesn't give me breaks."

"He makes me do a meditation app to calm down," Helen revealed, claiming she ca

n have too much energy. "He needs me to calm down," the mum-of-three added but Janette rounded off by saying: "So, it's a partnership made in heaven then."
