Following the big opening, it was then over to Tess and Claudia to officially introduce the night's proceedings before the couples started taking to the floor with their final three routines of the 20th series.

But following their first routines, the pairings, as ever, headed off the chat to Claudia and receive their scores, which didn't really count as the final decision is all in the hands of the public. And during chats with both Hamza and Jowita Przystal, Molly and Carlos, and Fleur and Vito Coppla, the presenter revealed how the professional dancers' parents had flown in to support their children as they performed in the final.

While Jowita's parents had flown in from Poland to support their daughter, Molly Rainford's partner Carlos Gu also had his mum in the audience after they travelled from China. Meanwhile, Vito's mum and dad had jetted over from Italy to see their son in his first Strictly final.
