BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Rose Ayling-Ellis delights fans as she bags new TV role

Rose Ayling-Ellis will soon be back on the small screen as her TV return has been revealed. The former EastEnders star who played Mick Carter's long-lost daughter Frankie Lewis on the BBC One soap, left Albert Square last year after winning Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress stole hearts as the first ideal contestant to ever take part in the hit BBC dance contest before going on to win the 2021 series alongside professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. The pair's friendship as well as skills on the dancefloor clinched them the Glitterball trophy before they won a Bafta TV award for their emotional 'silent' dance.

She has since reunuiited with her former dance partner and fellow Strictly favourite Anton Du Beke on their BBC road trip series Adventures in Sicily. But Rose is now set to back her TV return surrounded by some other familiar faces.

The 28-year-old has been announced as the latest guest panellist for a Loose Women special to mark Deaf Awareness Week. The episode, which will air on Wednesday, May 3, will see Rose exclusively appear on the panel alongside Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore and Kaye Adams who has previously shared her own hearing loss journey, resulting in her needing to wear a hearing aid.

During the show, which airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV, Loose Women fans will be able to watch the ITV version where subtitles will be available and a fully accessible version on ITVX with subtitles and an 'in vision' signer.

Working alongside charities Royal National Institute for Deaf People, Sign Health and The Deaf Collective, the show's audience will be made up of the deaf community, along with family, friends and BSL signers, with captions available to the audience to make the live show accessible.

Rose is joining Loose Women in a special episode (ITV)

In a preview for her appearance, Rose could be seen posing in the studio as she shared her excitement for the TV special. "Join us for a Loose Women special episode, to celebrate Deaf Awareness Week," the star said. She looked gorgeous in a lilac halter neck top and black trousers for the important occasion.

It conmes weeks after Rose was flooded with support after she revealed that she had suffered an infuriating incident. She stepped out at film premiere and shared some forgeous snaps to Instagram.

But as fans gushed over the new look, others were disappointed to read about Rose's experience at the premiere as she said: "It is my first time to a film premiere because they provided subtitles and BSL interpreter, kudos to them!" However, she added: "But they put me and all the other deaf guests in a separate screening room…"

The star, who was heavily praised for raising awareness for the deaf community when she became the first deaf content on and winner of Strictly in 2021, went on: "It’s a slow process, we still got a long way to go. Deaf cinema-goers should be able to have the same experience as hearing fans all over the country, I can’t even go to my local cinema.

"I don’t get to experience the privilege of being able to join the hype of the newest blockbuster release or seeing the latest Star Wars or my favourite directors films on screen whenever I want… We do have a LONNNGG way to go." However, Rose did round off her post: "But! Happy thought, just look at this outfit!"
