BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Johannes Radebe has Tess Daly rushing to comfort him after saying sorry

Johannes Radebe was comforted by Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly over a comment he made after being dropped by partner John Whaite.

Johannes, a professional dancer, and Great British Bake Off star John are bidding to reach the finals of the BBC show.

But things took a turn for the worse for them as John dropped Johannes at the end of their quarter final dance, Birmingham Live reports.

The pair made a mistake as they completed the final step in the routine - a daring lift.

Johannes dropped to the floor of the stage as the audience gasped.

They were then given a huge round of applause by the crowd as Johannes picked himself up and the duo made their way to the side of the stage for the judge's comments.

Host Tess Daly then asked Rhys a question after hearing him muttering a comment not picked up by mics.

"Why are you saying sorry?" she asked the star.

"I gave him the wrong hand," Johannes painfully whined.

A reassuring Tess remarked: "Well he did very well considering."

"It doesn't matter," she added.

"It's live Johannes don't worry anything can happen."
