BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Helen Skelton supported as she shares snaps with parents after moving back to their farm

Helen Skelton has been showed support from her celebrity pals and fans after sharing some behind-the-scenes Strictly Come Dancing snaps. The Countryfile host is currently preparing for week five in the BBC One dance contest on Saturday night alongside her professional partner Gorka Marquez.

But in a break from training, Helen looked back on last weekend's show which saw the dancing couple hit the headlines after Gorka halted the show to give his celebrity partner a stern pep talk. Following their traditional paso doble, the judges told Helen she appeared 'too polite' with her moves.

When they went upstairs to chat with co-host Claudia Winkleman and wait for their scores, Spanish dancer Gorka stepped in and asked: "Can I just say something?" I know you've been having a difficult time and I know you've been... you may feel like you're not beautiful or good enough or anything, but if you don't believe in yourself, I believe in you. Everybody here believes in you."

Cheers broke out from their fellow competitors on the BBC dance contest and Claudia added: "We all believe in you." While Helen looked bashful and cowered away in response to Gorka's words, he hadn't finished. Gorka then added: "It doesn't matter how many times I say it, or the judges say it, or anybody says it it's only you who is going to be the one who can make the change and the one who needs to believe in you, because you are an amazing woman, very inspirational.

"An amazing mum and incredible dancer, so believe in you please." She then felt empowered by his words and jumped up onto the table in front of her to give her best paso doble pose.

And taking to Instagram on Thursday (October 20), Helen gave a closer glimpse at her look for last Saturday's show, which saw her hair tied back into a plait and decorated with roses, as well as share photos of her parents joining her and Gorka in the ballroom.

"Week four photo dump," she typed alongside the string of images which included her beaming alongside some of her Strictly co-stars including Fleur East and Tony Adams. "Having a blast thank you @gorka_marquez @bbcstrictly @vickygilldesign @lydiabarnesmakeup @lisadaveyhair," she added.

Gorka was quick to respond: "Always Friend!!!" While her cheeky co-star James Bye wrote: "Love that grey hair," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis to which Helen clapped back: "It’s hanging out with you…. Turning me grey."

Former Strictly star and Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty also commented, telling Helen: "Keep going." And fans were also flooding her with support. @mo.ellerton2 said: "Lovely photo with mum & dad. Good luck for Saturday."

Helen's post alongside her parents comes after she revealed she's moved back in with them on their farm. The mum-of-three revealed that she has quit her family home in Leeds to move back in with her parents on their farm in the Lake District following her split from her Leeds Rhinos rugby player husband Richie Myler.

It means her mum and dad can help take care of her three young kids while she tackles her work commitments on Strictly and ITV's Lorraine where she has joined a brand new 'Me Time' campaign.
