BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell 'signs up' for another hit TV show

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has reportedly signed up for another hit reality contest show. The Italian-Australian professional dancer has previously spoken about the love of food in her family, describing herself as a "foodie".

And now it seems she will be showing BBC viewers this other side of her and drawing on a new set of skills on a different show. It's claimed Dianne will be swapping sashays for sachets as she's signed up to take part in Celebrity Masterchef.

The 33-year-old will be following in the footsteps of other Strictly favourites who have previously been poached for the cooking show, which sees famous faces competitively cook to impress judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode. They include dancers Johannes Radebe, AJ Pritchard, Katya Jones and Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse, reported The Mirror.

An unnamed source told The Sun: "Strictly stars always seem to be popular with MasterChef producers, not to mention the viewers at home. That is why almost every year they select a famous face from within the show's ranks of pros.

"And they always seem to do rather well. Although their dance skills don’t help them much in the kitchen, their natural competitiveness does give them the edge over many of the other celeb cooks."

Dianne was partnered with TV and radio presenter Tyler West in the most recent Strictly season last year and has been on the show since 2017. She has recently shared that her Italian mum inspired her own love for cooking.

She told the Independent: "I've grown up learning to cook from her. I’ve always been quite a foodie – I’ve got two older brothers, my dad loves food, and we all love food in my family.

"I do really enjoy cooking and I’m always really interested in the Mediterranean diet." Dianne revealed one of her favourite meals is ratatouille and she eats fish but not chicken or red meat.
