BBC Strictly Come Dancing's 'cheated' viewers spot something missing as they jokingly threaten 'legal action'

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were quick to spot something missing as they tuned into the last results show of the series. Monday night (December 12) saw Will Mellor go head-to-head with Fleur East in a bid to stay in the competition and secure a place in the BBC One show's grand final.

After Fleur and Vito Coppola and Will and Nancy Xu reperformed their favourite routines from their double semi-final performances, it was over to the judges to choose who they wanted to save. While Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood opted to save Fleur and Vito, Anton Du Beke shared his decision to save Will and Nancy which he said was "due to an error in a dismount from a lift" from Fleur and Vito.

This, therefore, left the vote in Shirley Ballas' hands and she said: "Based on micro details, I have decided to save Fleur and Vito." This meant that Will and his dance partner Nancy were the eleventh couple to be eliminated from the dance contest and narrowly missed out on making it to the final four.

As well as the dance-off, the results episode feature a performance from Lewis Capaldi who gave a rendition of his latest single Pointless, alongside dancers Giovanni Pernice and Katya Jones.

But as fans are aware, the results show usually features a opening routine from Strictly's professional dancers and at the end of Sunday night's show, Tess Daly teased a performance that involved the programme's very own judge, Craig Revel Horwood. However, it was nowhere to be seen.

@heathervokins said: "Is it just me wondering why there was no group number or am I missing something?" @christine_tuscher replied: "I did too, thought that I had missed the beginning of the show!!" @katievictoria88 asked: "Where was the usual opening routine by the professionals?"

@rachel.finnegan.35 posted: "Does anyone know where the group dance went tonight I thought Craig was supposed to be dancing." @jodiejodes17 shared: "Am I going crazy, why wasn’t there a group dance?! It’s the best bit of the results show! Apart from Lewis, Giovanni & Katya tonight."

@nicorawr wrote: "Where was the promised "group dance with Craig"????" @_martinthomas echoed: "Where was the pro dance, they said yesterday Craig would be in it??" @SylS85 tweeted: "#Strictly wasn't there meant to be a pro group dance with Craig? What happened?" @ks_mikey added: "#Strictly seems I’m not the only one querying the lack of group dance in the @bbcstrictly results show with @CraigRevHorwood Advertised/pre-warned and then nothing Feel cheated."

Meanwhile, viewers were divided over whether Strictly on a Monday night was a good thing or just 'wrong'. @roscoeleebarnes said: "Can we never have a Monday results show ever again #Strictly." @BevMaccas tweeted: "#Strictly on a Monday night is just wrong! Why didn’t they just show both last night?! As if we don’t all know it’s all filmed together!" @katyajcnes joked: "Strictly made me watch nancy sob and robbed me of a pro dance and all on a MONDAY? im gonna take legal action #strictly."

But @AtomTom999 said: "Can we have strictly on Mondays from now on, please? #strictly." @paulwdoctor wrote: "Feeling Sunday night dread watching #Strictly results and the relief it's actually Monday night dread that isn't quite as bad." @skippity_doo commented: "Much as I sulked about the live show being pushed to last night, Strictly results on a Monday are alright actually. And I’m excited for #ITT afterwards! #Strictly #SCD."
