BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans hit out at audience habit after 'ruining' Molly Rainford's dance

Over the years, the Strictly Come Dancing audience have played a role in the show's success, as friends and family members are among those in the ballroom studio to watch the performances and cheer on their loved ones.

However, fans of the BBC show were recently compelled to speak out about one particular habit which has left some viewers a little annoyed.

Some Strictly Come Dancing fans are now calling for a clapping ban, as Birmingham Live reports, after saying it ruined Molly Rainford's Dance on Saturday night. The CBBC star was dancing the Tango to ‘Bad Guy’ by Billie Eilish with her professional partner Carlos Gu.

She wowed the judges and viewers at home and scored 35 points out of a possible 40. Anton went as far said it was the first time he had really seen what Molly could really do on the dance floor.

He said: "The thing about you is you're a really good dancer...you have the capability to be in the future ahead of everybody else. Nobody can hold a candle to you."

And head judge Shirley praised the star for her passion and commitment. But many said the performance was spoilt by the audience clapping along. Viewers took to Twitter to comment.
