BBC star's daughter 'expelled from boarding school after being found with drugs'

The teen daughter of a BBC star has been expelled from boarding school after being found with drugs, it has been reported.

According to sources who know the family, the girl got into the party scene during the summer holidays and did not settle down in time for the new term.

It is understood staff at the unnamed school - which charges £20,000 a year for fees - found drugs in her possession.

The parents, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were told of the findings over Zoom and asked to pick her up the following day.

A source told The Sun : “The celebrity mum is disappointed and upset as she loved the school and has an incredibly busy work schedule."

The parents, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were told of the findings over Zoom and asked to pick her up the following day.

“Both parents begged to let her stay but the head has a one strike and you’re out policy.

“It’s a shame as she was popular and bright even if she was distracted by extra-curricular activities.

"The star had her own issues with partying so doesn’t blame her. She just doesn’t want her to throw her opportunities away.”

The girl's parents are understood to be keen to find another school for their daughter as soon as possible.
