BBC star Kate Spiers looking for someone to take on her Glasgow south side coffee shop

Influencer and BBC Scotland star Kate Spiers has today announced she and her husband will be be leaving their popular south side cafe behind.

Along with her partner Jordan, the Scotland Home of the Year presenter has ran Market Coffee for over four years.

The much-loved south side cafe, based on Cathcart Road in Mount Florida, is known for its stylish interiors and almost too-pretty-to-eat cakes.

Jordan and Kate took to Instagram to share the news that they were bidding farewell to Market Coffee ahead of "settling somewhere new".

But it's not all sad news, as the couple are looking for Glaswegians to take over the business.

Posting on Instagram this morning, they said: "The time has come for Market to close. After four incredible years of helping keep Mount Florida living on coffee, cake and flowers! We've been a small, family-run business since the start and residents of the area for even longer. Cathcart Road will always feel like home for us, but it's time for us to settle somewhere new.

"We've put so much time and love in to Market over the years and for that reason we would love to see it continue to thrive as a small business. We're putting this out there in the hopes that someone with similar values has dreamt of opening their own place in the south side."

They added: "We have an easygoing landlord...wonderful regulars and a spot on a busy, much-loved south side street.

"So please do send us a message if you think that sounds like something that could work for you.

"And finally, thanks for four endlessly rewarding years of serving the south side and beyond. We've loved everything minute of it and we've made some friends for life.

"Until then, we'll be brewing coffees every weekend, so make sure to pop in before we finally close our doors."
