BBC show Antiques Road Trip is coming to Ayrshire

Hit BBC show Antiques Road Trip is coming to Ayrshire as filming begins on a new series.

Presenter Natasha Raskin-Sharp will visit the county to learn more about the Scottish Maritime Musuem, before scouring antiques shops to hunt for some hidden gems to take to auction.

The Road Trip team are keen to find new shops, emporia and centres in the area. Anyone who knows an antqiues dealer in Irvine, Troon, Prestwick, Ayr or Kilmarnock is asked to call the production team on 0141 300 3530.

The series follows the country’s top antiques experts on a scenic road trip through the British countryside, as they seek out quirky and valuable antiques to auction off for profit.

John Redshaw, executive producer at STV Productions, said: "As always, Antiques Road Trip is full of laughs, friendly rivalries and great characters as our experts go back on the road to search for weird and wonderful antiques, and hear about local history along the way ."

Antiques Road Trip is produced for BBC One by STV Productions. It has been running for 20 series.
