BBC Scotland has secured the rights to showcase more European clashes involving Scottish clubs this season, the broadcaster has confirmed.
The broadcaster has already provided live coverage of both legs of Hibernian against Andorra’s Inter Club d’Escaldes in the Europa Conference League second qualifying round.
And it has previously announced that Sportscene cameras will be at Ibrox for full live coverage of the first leg of Rangers’ Euro tie against Swiss side Servette, this Wednesday, August 9.
This home leg of the tie in the Champions League third qualifying round kicks off at 7:45pm and will be screened live on the BBC Scotland channel, iPlayer and the BBC Scotland Sport website.
Now BBC Scotland has secured more live rights to bring free-to-air coverage of upcoming Hearts and Rangers matches as the clubs bid to make progress in Europe.
Today the broadcaster has announced there’ll be live coverage of the following matches:
Hibernian v Luzern, first leg of Europa Conference League, third qualifying round, Thursday 10 August, kick off 7.30 pm, programme begins at 7.20 pm. Live on the BBC Scotland channel, iPlayer and the BBC Scotland Sport website.
Servette v Rangers, second leg of the Champions League third qualifying round, Tuesday 15 August, kick off 7.30 pm. There’ll be live coverage on the BBC Scotland, iPlayer and BBC Scotland Sport website.
Hearts v Rosenborg, second leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League, kick off 7.45 pm, Thursday 17 August. Live on the BBC Scotland, iPlayer and BBC Scotland Sport website.
News of the rights agreements is a big boost for fans who’ll be able to catch all the action live as the teams look to advance on the European stage.
