The BBC Scotland channel is bringing its new discussion programme to Dalbeattie next Sunday.
And the broadcaster is looking for an enthusiastic local audience to take part in its Debate Night show.
Applications have opened to anyone wishing to take the panel to task on the big issues of the day.
Doonhamer Stephen Jardine, the show’s presenter, is thrilled to be returning to his native region.
“Having been born and brought up in the area, I love Dumfries and Galloway,” Mr Jardine, 55, said.
“For me, it is one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland but it has its own challenges and issues.
“So our visit with Debate Night is a great opportunity to hold our politicians to account and to make the rest of the country sit up and take notice.”
Mr Jardine, who is the son of former Queen of the South chairman Bill Jardine, added: “This is a great chance for everyone to have their say on what really matters to them.
“I’d like to see as many local people as possible in the audience on the night.”
Filming will take place in the Heughan Hall at Dalbeattie High School on the afternoon of May 5.
