BBC's Time viewers are all hoping for one thing from tonight's show

BBC's new drama, Time, filmed in Liverpool and featuring Stephen Graham airs this evening, and many viewers share the same hope for the show.

The three-part series starring Sean Bean and Stephen Graham will air weekly on BBC One from Sunday 6 June at 9pm , with the full series available as a boxset on BBC iPlayer once episode one has aired.

Time also stars Siobhan Finneran, Sue Johnston, Hannah Walters, David Calder, Nadine Marshall, Michael Socha, Aneurin Barnard, Jack McMullen and James Nelson-Joyce.

Mark Cobden (Sean Bean) is newly imprisoned, consumed by guilt for his crime, and way out of his depth in the volatile world of prison life.

He meets Eric McNally (Stephen Graham), an excellent prison officer doing his best to protect those in his charge.

However, when one of the most dangerous inmates identifies his weakness, Eric faces an impossible choice; between his principles and his family.

Many viewers are hoping for one thing from Time.

One wrote on Twitter : "Please tell me Time is going to fill the void that Line of Duty has left"

Another said: "Hope this fills the line of duty shaped hole in my heart #Time"

A third wrote: "Looking forward to Tommy Hunter appearing from beyond the grave"

A fourth said: "Could this make up for no more LOD?"
