BBC's Strictly Come Dancing stars are named early in 'accidental spoiler' on ITV's Good Morning Britain

Good Morning Britain had a surprise scoop today when a presenter appeared to reveal the names of three high-profile celebrities on this year's Strictly Come Dancing before they were due to be announced by the BBC.

The celebrities were due to be unveiled by the BBC's One Show this evening, but the ITV1 breakfast show was able to deliver a spoiler several hours earlier.

Entertainment presenter Iain Lee told fellow presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd that the three Strictly contestants will  be ex-England manager Sam Allardyce, The Only Way is Essex star Jamie Laing and presenter Anneka Rice, reports Devon Live .

Presenter Iain appeared to revel in apparently accidentally spilling the news early and stealing the The One Show's thunder.

He said: "They are going to announce the first three people on a show called The One Show – it’s going to be Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice."

Ben appeared stunned by the news and questioned: "Hold on.

"They are announcing it later and you have already announced it?"

Iain didn't seem too fussed, telling the camera: "Sorry One Show! Sorry Alex Jones!"

Ben then confirmed the names he had been given and Kate quipped: "See Anneka I think will be good, Jamie will be good. You know Sam quite well."

No official confirmation has been given these three celebrities will be revealed as the first amateur dancers to take the dance floor, but it didn’t stop the Good Morning Britain team discussing whether Sam, Anneka and Jamie would do well on the show.

It was reported last week Anneka could be one of the famous faces taking to the dance floor after the veteran TV presenter recently celebrated her 40-year career in the industry.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV
