BBC's magazine plan upsets commentators

The BBC's plan to launch a weekly news magazine linked to Newsnight and Panorama is coming in for a lot of criticism. Yesterday The Guardian thought it would tread on too many toes. And today the possible encroachment on territory already occupied by commercial publishers has been savaged by Dan Sabbagh who concludes that the licence-fee-funded BBC "seems to have no sense of limit".
