Carol Kirkwood has thanked police, ambulance and hospital staff who came to her aid after she was knocked off her bike by a car.
The BBC weather presenter posted to social media to say she had been 'injured' and taken to hospital after fans noticed her absence on the Breakfast show.
Carol, 57, tweeted: "Been off following an accident.
"Got knocked off my bike by a car and got injured. Biggest thanks ever to the Police (Chris and Faye), the Ambulance Crew (Miranda and Stewart) who tended to me and took me to Hospital. And especially Peter Foskett-Tharby at Wexham Park Hospital".
Good Morning Britain's presenter Charlotte Hawkins responded: "So sorry to hear that Carol, poor you! Get well soon. Sending love xxx"
Fellow former Strictly Come Dancing participant Susan Calman added: "Oh sweetie!! Hope you're OK. Sending so much love xx."
Gavin & Stacey's Larry Lamb also shared his best wishes and told Carol: "We need you to brighten up our days!"
When Carol returned to the BBC Breakfast on Tuesday, host Louise Minchin said she was pleased to see her colleague back.
"Carol tell us a bit about what happened," she urged.
"Thank you for starters. And thank you to everybody as well for your concern," began Carol.
"I was out on my bike and got knocked off it by a car that drove into me. A pure accident of course," she added.
"But I got injured. And this is a great opportunity to say thank you to three cyclists that helped me immediately after the incident and also the police. Thames Valley police - that was Chris and also Faye - and the ambulance who tended to me and then took me to hospital - and that was Miranda and Stewart."
Carol then praised a 'genius' doctor Peter Foskett-Tharby Wexham Park Hospital: "I can't thank you enough," she said.
Met Office trained Carol has been a familiar face on the BBC since 1998 where she joined the BBC News as a weather presenter.
She has since appeared regularly across all of BBC Weather's output on radio and television.
Carol won the TRIC award for best TV Weather presenter in 2003, 2008, 2009 and 2012–2017.
In 2015 she took part in the 13th series of Strictly and finished in tenth place.
