The BBC has unveiled its annual list of highest-paid stars, with former Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills topping the rankings for the first time before his departure from the broadcaster in March.
Mills replaces former England footballer Gary Lineker, who had held the title of the BBC's highest-paid on-air personality for the previous eight years, but has now dropped out of the top 10.
Also absent from this year's top 10 is Zoe Ball, who was the BBC's second highest-paid star last year before leaving the corporation.
BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg was once again the corporation's highest-paid female presenter.
She was one of four women to feature on the list, alongside Naga Munchetty, Fiona Bruce and Sophie Raworth, a slight improvement on last year's total of three.
Radio 2 host Vernon Kay, whose weekday programme is the station's most-listened-to show according to the latest RAJAR figures, was joint fourth on the list alongside Kuenssberg.
Meanwhile, Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Greg James climbed two places to become the BBC's second highest-paid star, while BBC Radio Ulster host Stephen Nolan ranked third.
The BBC is required to publish the salaries of on-air talent and senior staff who earn more than £178,000 a year from licence fee funding.
The rankings are listed by salary band, starting with the highest earners. The equivalent pay band from 2024/25 is shown in brackets to highlight year-on-year changes.
The figures only cover those paid directly by the BBC through the licence fee and exclude talent paid via independent production companies or the corporation's commercial arm, BBC Studios.
