The BBC have revealed that Mrs Brown’s Boys Live will replace Match of the Day on BBC One on Saturday evening.
Match of the Day has been removed from our TV screens for at least the next three weeks following the news that all elite football in England has been suspended in the country up until April 3 at the very earliest over fears of the coronavirus spreading at a rapid rate of knots.
The Premier League announced on Thursday evening that it would be business as usual this weekend, as did the EFL, but a rapid turn of events overnight meant that both governing bodies have been forced to suspend action for a few weeks.
And the news has forced popular goals show Match of the Day to be pulled from our screens.
In its place on Saturday evening, the comedy, Mrs Brown’s Boys Live, will take its place.
That news has certainly brought a smile to the faces of football fans who have found today’s news hard to take.
