BBC Scotland launches new reality TV show about Scotland's biggest online influencer agency

Scots will get an insight into the country's biggest social media influencer agency in a new BBC Scotland reality TV show.

The Reel Life will look at Uddingston-based Aquarius Creative - a thriving influencer agency business run by two young Scots entrepreneurs who are also giants on the influencer scene themselves, Kirsten Cameron and Amy Moore.

For several months, cameras have followed the agency and its founders' every move.

The series will capture just what it's really like to be part of this extraordinary world, from glamorous travel, endless freebies, exclusive events and fame.

With a roster of over 20 of the most sought-after influencers in Scotland, Kirsten and Amy, have their sights set on global domination.

One of the best known Instagram models in Glasgow, Abbi Blythe, will feature on the show. Abbi is well known for her huge following, boasting an incredible 190k followers on Instagram, as well as a slew of glamorous globe-trotting snaps and her very own clothing label, Bly.

Molly McFarlane is another well-kent face to many, boasting 202k followers on the social media site. Scots stunner Molly, from Glasgow, lives in Manchester where she works for a fast fashion firm based in the city.

Freelance model and influencer Maggie Smith will also join other influencers such as Kirsten, Amy, Megan Welsh and Abigail Comrie on the show.

Steve Allen, commissioning executive for BBC Scotland, said: "This new series will offer audiences a rarely-seen look into a world which has become so prevalent within today’s society.

"It’s a world which fascinates many of us but few of us have an understanding of. This series will give us that, offering a window in to what goes on behind the gloss.”

Amy and Kirsten added: "We’re so excited to give viewers a look into the unfiltered side of the social media and influencer world!

"We’re passionate about showing the creativity that goes into every Instagram post, whilst giving viewers a real insight into what it’s like to work in this competitive and fast paced industry."

Laura Capaldi, Executive Producer for IWC, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing this exciting new reality series to BBC Scotland. The real lives of the influencers, their agents, friends and family are fascinating to their hundreds of thousands of followers and we’re so excited to be able to show people what their lives are really like, behind the glitz and glamour.”

The Reel Life will be broadcast in 2023 on the BBC Scotland channel and BBC iPlayer.
