BBC Radio Manchester presenter Chelsea Norris welcomes a baby boy - his name is adorable

Congratulations have been pouring in for BBC Radio Manchester presenter Chelsea Norris after she and her husband Ben welcomed their second child.

Personal trainer Ben Postma-Tonge shared a joyous photo to mark the arrival of their son Barney at 11.27am today (Monday).

Chelsea is beaming with delight in the photo as she cradles Barney, who is wearing an adorable blue knitted hat.

"Our family is complete," wrote doting dad Ben.

"We Love you Barney."

"Congrats guys," commented one well-wisher.

"Fabulous, been checking every hour for news on the new arrival. Love the name.

"Bet Minnie is so excited to meet Barney," said another.

"Very cute name," said another follower on Twitter.

Chelsea, who presents the BBC Radio Manchester breakfast show, was due to give birth on Thursday and Ben prepared her a spicy dinner for the occasion.

"They say spicy food helps bring on labour so tonight I’ve made my wife this fiery Beef Thai curry," he explained.

In November Chelsea, 39, was joined on stage by Ben, 33, as they told their daughter Minnie, four, that she was to become a big sister at her annual Chelsea’s Ladies Lunch.

They invited Minnie onto the stage to give her a present and say thank you for being such a good girl whilst Chelsea has been busy over the past few months organising the lunch at the Hilton Hotel.

The Chelsea at Breakfast presenter, who has been holding her annual lunches in Manchester for 14 years, raised money for St Ann’s Hospice and Once Upon a Smile, which provides support to bereaved families.

A white box with Minnie's name arrived on stage and as she opened it a balloon popped out which read ‘Minnie, you’re going to be a big sister’.'

Chelsea from Stockport, made the decision in March to bring her maternity leave forward because of the coronavirus pandemic.
