BBC pundit names the West Ham star who is becoming a 'firm fans' favourite'

West Ham United have hit form in recent weeks in the Premier League - and Andriy Yarmolenko has been a key man for Manuel Pellegrini in that run.

The Ukrainian international netted his third goal in his last four Premier League games as he opened the scoring against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, with Yarmolenko curling the ball home from the edge of the penalty box on the south coast.

It was the 29-year-old's second goal in the space of a week, after also netting in the Hammers' win against Manchester United at the London Stadium seven days earlier.

And his performance was enough to earn him a place in Garth Crooks' team of the week as part of the BBC pundit's weekly feature, with the former Tottenham forward heaping praise on the Ukrainian.

"This lad can bend balls around keepers for fun. Yarmolenko took his goal brilliantly once he turned Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake on the edge of the penalty area," he said.

"The Ukraine international has the ability to beat the goalkeeper once he is on his favoured left foot. He is also starting to become a firm favourite among the West Ham faithful."

Yarmolenko was West Ham's only representative in the team of the week after claiming a point on the south coast to leave them fourth in the Premier League table ahead of Arsenal's trip to face Manchester United this evening (Monday).
