BBC One's Twitter account seemingly went into meltdown this morning with a string of bizarre tweets.
It all started at 10am with a tweet saying: "Do you guys like my new profile picture?" then descended into chaos.
The second tweet gave a clue as to who was behind the cyber 'hack' saying: "This is Villanelle by the way", relating to the lead villain in award-winning drama Killing Eve.
Tweets such as "amazing hair", "well, she stabbed me," and "Like someone stuck a moustache on fudge" filled the official social media account for nearly an hour.
The account then tweeted: "Errrrrr.... this is BBC One. Not quite sure what happened... We seem to have lost control there, give us a sec."
Adding: "oops, we're back. Sorry about that!"
But they did not remove the previous tweets.
While at first glance, Twitter users could be forgiven for thinking it was the work of a hacker, fans of the BBC America thriller soon realised it was a great way to plug the show.
Amidst the flurry of updates, a link to the tracklist for Killing Eve was tweeted out.
Some thought it was a great way to promote the programme, one said: "That pretty good work to advertise one of the best shows, like it."
And when normal service resumed, another joked: "We don't want you, we want Villanelle."

Season two has already aired in America, so this has almost confirmed that we are about to get a UK air date.
Villanelle is played by Liverpool actress Jodie Comer, who recently won a Bafta from her portray of the serial killer.
The 26-year-old from Childwall thanked her nan in her and said he owed fellow Scouse actor Stephen Graham a pint for introducing her to his agent.
