BBC offered to remove contestant from MasterChef episodes in response to her objections to scandal

MasterChef contestant Sarah Shafi claimed the BBC offered to edit her out of the show after she raised concerns about presenters John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
Shafi stated on Newsnight that she felt pressured into accepting this "solution" and was "flabbergasted" by the offer, feeling she was being "silenced into extinction".
Gregg Wallace was dismissed from the BBC after an independent report substantiated 45 allegations against him.
John Torode was also fired following the upholding of a claim against him for using an "extremely offensive racist term".
