Broadcaster Dave Guest has announced he is leaving BBC North West Tonight after 35 years at the company.
The chief reporter started work at the BBC in 1983 after working as a reporter at the Lancaster Guardian and the Wigan Evening Post.
Confirming his departure on tonight's show, a clip documenting some of his best bits was aired.

Dave said: "That ribbing illustrates the great bond that's always existed between members of the North West Tonight team, they are more like family than colleagues.
"So it's been stimulating, exciting, educational, emotional, exhilarating and I wouldn't have missed a moment.
"It's always been and it remains a real privilege to say Dave Guest BBC North West Tonight."
BBC North West tweeted: "It's with a heavy heart that we say farewell to our friend and colleague Dave Guest.
"After more than 35 years working at the BBC, he's reported on some of the biggest stories from across the North West.
"We wish him all the best in everything he does!"
Fellow television presenters wished Dave the best, as they shared fond memories.

Elaine Willcox wrote: "Good luck Chief, always enjoyed sparring with you out on stories. Despite rumours of your grumpiness, I never saw that & we always had a laugh. I know the producers loved you, Enjoy the rest."
