BBC News presenter causes stir with fans as she holds 'cigarette' while live on air

BBC News presenter and newsreader Reeta Chakrabarti has gone viral on TikTok.

The 55-year-old journalist, who is best known for regularly presenting on the BBC News channel, caused a stir with fans as a video clip of her holding what looked like an unlit cigarette during a live broadcast has circulated online.

The footage is from October 31 and Reeta seemed to be talking about the second coronavirus lockdown at the time.

She appears calm and unaware of how the mystery object looks on camera as she presents the latest headlines to her audience, who were left extremely puzzled.
