BBC makes polls taxing

The Blue Peter cat has a lot to answer for. The fallout from the series of unfortunate incidents with viewer and listener competitions on the BBC last year - including fake winners and misleading poll results - has extended to the good old fashioned online poll. Corporation types who want to conduct a straw poll on the BBC website have to run their idea, question, and multiple choice answers by the news head honcho responsible, the grandly titled head of multimedia programmes, Stephen Mitchell. Oh, and according to an internal email seen by Monkey they also have to fill out a giant form, which we simply don't have the time to go into now.
