BBC Line of Duty fans spot mistake on police memo

Eagle-eyed fans of the critically acclaimed show Line of Duty spotted an awkward memo on the walls of the police station.

Viewers who tuned into the BBC One drama at 9pm will have seen a recap of some of the previous events, and the very first scene shows DCI Joanne Davidson (played by Kelly Macdonald) briefing the team on Operation Lighthouse.

But just behind her is a note to officers to put the files back when they have finished, however, it contains a typo.

It reads: "Please return all files once your finished using them. Thank you!"

But it should read: "Please return all files once you're finished using them. Thank you!"

Fans took to Twitter to point out the mistake, @Stegglesaurus said: "#LineOfDuty ”Please return all files once your finished using them [laughing face]."

And another simply tweeted a screengrab of the scene.

Fans were on the edge of their seats as episode three of the sixth series threw them straight into the action when Ryan Pilkington (played by Gregory Piper) tried to kill key witness Terry Boyle (played by Tommy Jessop) by causing a police car to plunge into a lake.

But this may have backfired as now Kate Flemming (played by Vicky McClure) thinks he is connected.

*Line of Duty is on BBC One Sundays at 9pm and available on BBC iPlayer
