The United States tops the list of countries with 51 nominations, closely followed by the UK with 50. Among U.S. production companies, 20th TV stands out with 8 nominations, particularly excelling in the scripted animated series category.
Notable nominees in the English-language comedy field include 'Abbott Elementary,' 'Poker Face,' 'The Great,' and 'The Wonder Years.' On the drama front, series like 'Gen V,' 'Succession,' 'Happy Valley,' and 'The Last of Us' have garnered nominations.
The 2024 Rockie Awards ceremony is set to take place during the Banff festival on June 11. The Grand Jury Prize, chosen from the top-scoring programs, will also be revealed during the event. The esteemed Grand Jury includes industry experts from various backgrounds.
Aside from the Grand Jury Prize, special awards like the $25,000 Rogers Prize for Excellence in Canadian Content and the Prix Francophone will be presented. In total, 30 awards will be given across different categories such as Documentary & Factual, Arts & Entertainment, Children & Youth, Scripted, and Podcast.
Other leading countries in nominations include Canada (40), France (8), Germany (7), and Taiwan (6). The nominees span a wide range of genres, from comedy and variety to animation, lifestyle, reality series, and more.
