BBC presenter Kirsty Young has come out of retirement to pay her respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II ahead of her being laid to rest on Monday evening.
Kirsty joined Alan Titchmarsh on the BBC’s coverage of the Queen's funeral to discuss their experiences and memories with Her Majesty. Kirsty, 53, also appeared on the Beeb earlier this year amid the Queen's Jubilee celebrations.
Her appearance in June was first time the star has worked since taking a break in 2018 after dealing with ‘severe and relentless’ pain due to her rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Describing the pain she was experiencing, she said it became so bad that she couldn’t even lift a water bottle.

Now Kirsty has come out of retirement for a second time to pay tribute to the late Queen. Her Majesty will make her final journey to the Royal Borough today, to be reunited with her late husband Prince Philip.
Many fans of Kirsty took to Twitter to say how pleased they were to see her on the BBC again. Janet Heil said: "Oh how I've missed Kirsty Young", while GF Furness said: "Kirsty Young, another beautiful voice. So glad she's back".
Neil Watson said: "Huw Edwards now hands over to another safe pair of hands and voice in Kirsty Young". Laura said: "I hope Kirsty Young is feeling as well as she's looking, she has been through a rough time recently".
