The BBC has issued an update on the season premiere of Strictly Come Dancing.
The first episode of the new season was set to be broadcast on Saturday as a new batch of celebrities don their dance shoes in a bid to win the Glitterball. However, the BBC has announced the launch programme will no longer air this weekend as the broadcaster has amended its schedule in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death.
Her Majesty's funeral is set to take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday and the BBC has announced a special programming schedule across the weekend to mark the Queen's legacy as the nation mourns her passing.
