BBC EastEnders viewers reeling as character dies in shock twist

EastEnders viewers were left reeling as one Walford resident died in a shock twist.

Last night, viewers saw Hunter enter the Queen Vic and take Mick hostage.

Hunter tried to get through the Vic unseen whilst holding a gun at Jack.

But things went wrong when Mo spotted him, causing mass panic in the pub.

Hunter was then tackled by a number of Albert Square's residents, when he fired a shot.

The camera then panned to the outside of the Queen Vic, whilst the camera panned away.

Tonight, EastEnders picked up from the Queen Vic where Ben had been shot - his lungs collapsed and viewers thought that was it for the Mitchell brother.

Hunter then took Louise Mitchell hostage and used her as bait, which saw Keanu run after her and end up being shot.

However,  in a shock turn of events, Hunter pulled the trigger at Louise, but tricked everyone and shot himself dead.

And viewers were left reeling at the whole episode.

One said: "MY HEART IS OUT IF MY CHEST."

Megan wrote: "I don't know if I can recover from that episode!! #EastEnders ."

And Kathryn said: "Wow! I was on the edge of my bed the whole ep!"
