BBC EastEnders fans brand storyline 'ridiculous' and 'dangerous'

BBC soap fans have branded an EastEnders storyline 'ridiculous' as they watched Rainie sleep rough with baby Abi.

After she made a run for it with her stolen cash, viewers have watched her living the high life in a swanky hotel.

But Rainie, played by Tanya Franks, tries to run off when Max, played by Jake Wood, finds her - and she loses her money.

Determined not to go back to Albert Square, she is forced to sleep rough with baby Abi on concrete floor of a train station.

People thought it was 'ridiculous' that she didn't return home (BBC)

A man, thinking she is a sex worker, propositions her for sex in a back alley while Abi is asleep in her pram.

Desperate for money, she agrees for £30, but can't go through with it. He has other ideas and he slams her into the fence and tries to rape her.

Luckily Stuart, played by Ricky Champ, stops him.

The dramatic scenes did not go down well with some, who felt the storyline had gone too far.

Viewers were less than impressed with the character, one said: "So Rainie would rather live on the streets than go running back to Max, seriously? Surely even she would realise just how potentially dangerous that actually is?"

Another said: "Rainie is actually sleep rough with Abi in a stairwell? Do me a favour! #Ridiculous"

A third said: "Rainie should just admit defeat and go back with Abi, what a stupid storyline.. she'd rather starve and go cold with a baby."

A fourth tweeted: "Take the baby home Rainie!"

A fifth added: "What is this Rainie crap?!"
