BBC drama Vigil continues filming in Glasgow next week - here are road closures in place

New BBC drama Vigil has been filming in our city in recent days, the new series featuring Greenock actor and Line of Duty star Martin Compston alongside Suranne Jones.

The show centres around the mysterious disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death on-board a Trident nuclear submarine, bringing the police into conflict with the Navy and British security services.

Filming in Glasgow was originally scheduled to take place in March of this year, but had to be postponed because of the coronavirus crisis.

However, cameras were back in town last week, with several city centre streets closed off to make way for film crews.

Filming is due to resume next week, with a number of roads - in the west end by the River Clyde - set to be shut off to traffic, including the Clyde Arc at Finnieston.
