BBC Dragons' Den entrepreneur walks out mid-offers after awkward exchange

An entrepreneur on Dragons' Den walked out during the offers stage of the show after an awkward exchange.

Patrick Tatham had invented a lightweight suit carrier, that had hinges in the hangar making it able to fold over.

But immediately, the Dragons' weren't impressed by his funding of the business, which created fireworks when it was revealed he had a debt of £120,000 on the books.

Despite this, Patrick still managed to bag himself an offer from Crafter's Companion owner Sara Davies.

She said: "I'm offering all of the money for 50% of your business dropping to 35% when you return me my investment.

But Patrick was only offering 10%.

He told Sara: “I don’t think I would be a very good businessman if I accepted your offer.

"I think where you’re coming in is too lowball really."

Sara responded: “You’re allowed to make me a counteroffer.”

But Patrick said: “It’s OK. Do you know what? I think we’re too far apart.”

Peter Jones chipped in saying: “You should make a counteroffer Patrick, it could be your last chance.”

Patrick then told Sara: “Your offer really doesn’t reflect the value of the business and its growth potential.”

Speechless by his manner, Peter said "wow”, before Patrick walked out of the room.
