BBC Coronation Concert viewers demand answers after 'rude' end to show

Coronation Concert viewers were baffled by the end to last night's programme.

The event was staged on the East Lawn of Windsor Castle on Sunday to mark the official crowning of King Charles III. 20,000 people gathered in the grounds of the castle to enjoy a star-studded show to commemorate the occasion.

The King was in attendance along with other members of the Royal family such as Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate. The Royals were seen enjoying performances from stars such as Katy Perry and Lionel Richie during a jam-packed show.

Take That took to the stage to close the show and performed a medley of hits including Greatest Day, Shine and Never Forget. The crowd were on their feet as they enjoyed the electric performance from Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen.

However, some viewers following the concert on Twitter were confused when the trio departed the stage and the show ended. Some took to the social media platform and asked the BBC to explain the ending of the show after it seemed abrupt.

@Lady_herwick said: "It ended a little too quickly though, be nice if the BBC could explain the abrupt ending"

Dawn added: "Well, not sure what to say to that #CoronationConcert other than what a poor show and a very abrupt end"

Philip commented: "That was quite an abrupt wrap-up"

Will tweeted: "A bit of an abrupt ending no?"

Phil posted: "A rudely abrupt end to your broadcast @BBCOne"

Sara said: "Is that the end? Bit abrupt wasn’t it?"
