Filming has begun for series 2 and 3 of the Welsh sitcom The Tuckers.

The Steve Speirs-penned comedy follows the fortunes of the close-knit Tucker family who are determined to survive through any means necessary.

The series features an all-Welsh cast alongside Speirs (Stella, Upstart Crow, Pirates Of The Caribbean) including much-respected actress Lynn Hunter (Baker Boys, Stella), Robert Pugh (Game Of Thrones), Kimberley Nixon (Fresh Meat) and Alexandria Riley (Channel 4's The End Of The F***ing World and BAFTA Cymru winning drama series In My Skin). The BBC shared a behind the screen shot of filming on their social media channels earlier this week.

They captioned the image: "Filming has begun for series 2 and 3 of The Tuckers and we can't wait to see what Glyn and the rest of the family get up to!"

They confirmed the "loveable rogues" will be back on screens in 2022, so there's a little while to wait yet.

"Great news," one viewer wrote. "Blooming love The Tuckers." added another.

The Tuckers is set in the Welsh valleys.

Answering a fan who asked about the filming locations after the pilot aired in 2018, Speirs said: "Show set in fictional village of Tregarreg - but we filmed in Pentrebach- cos of amazing views of the hills and amazing people ...."
