BBC Celebrity Mastermind viewers find Casualty star's answer hysterical

Viewers who tuned into last night's Celebrity Mastermind were left tickled pink when Casualty actress Amanda Henderson got a question very wrong.

The 33-year-old had appeared on the BBC quiz show with her specialist subject - Disney songs from 1989-1999.

But it was the general knowledge round that had her stumped - and fans of the show in stitches.

Amanda, who has played Robyn Miller on the medical drama since 2013, was asked a very topical question by host John Humphrys, but she looked confused, blank, and then blurted what seemed like the first name that came to mind, reports the ECHO .

The host said: "The 2019 book entitled No-one is Too Small To Make A Difference is a collection of speeches made by a Swedish climate change activist. What’s her name?"

"Is it Sharon?"

And the actress, shaking her head, offered the now immortal answer: "Sharon?"

The answer was of course Greta Thunberg, who was also named Time Magazine's Person of the Year for 2019 in December.

Almost immediately Twitter erupted, hailing it as a moment of TV gold.

One user said: "Sharon has to be best quiz answer in 2020. Great start to the decade,” alongside a string of crying-with-laughter emojis.

Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw tweeted: "#sharon is the answer to anything and everything in 2020."
