BBC can't shed the stench of waste

There's something a bit whiffy going on in the bowels of the BBC. Just 10 days after the Queen opened New Broadcasting House, staff on the "lower levels" are complaining of toilets over flowing and a "gut-churning stench" that makes it hard to concentrate. One BBC worker keen to provide details to the Sun said it was because the toilets in the bowels of the building are lower than the London sewer level, meaning that "waste has to travel against gravity" and blockages occur. A spokesman attempted to clean up the PR stink, saying it was a temporary issue. No word on whether the offensive smell was that of the £100m wasted on the doomed DMI initiative being flushed down the toilet.
