BBC Breakfast slot pulled off air after protester disrupts broadcast

BBC Breakfast was disrupted on Wednesday morning after a protester walked onto camera during an outdoor broadcast.

Hosts Dan Walker and Louise Minchin in the studio were talking to experts in an outdoor broadcast just before 8.30am.

The slot was supposed to be an explanation of the impact of rising inflation after new figures were released today.

But a protester waving a banner walked into the shot and began shouting.

The man claimed the BBC is 'anti-British'.

Crew at the scene tried to carry on by moving away from the protest and telling the man they could speak to him later.

But producers in the studio decided to cut away.

Dan and Louise cut the slot short and the broadcast came back to the studio.

Dan Walker apologised for the disruption.

It comes on Louise Minchiin's final day as a BBC Breakfast host.
