BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty slips into 25-year-old England mini dress

News presenter Naga Munchetty decided to slip into a tiny England dress from 1996 ahead of the Euro 2020 final.

The 46-year-old BBC Breakfast host posted a snap of herself on her Instagram in a red mini dress with the England flag on it and her fingers crossed.

She said in the caption: "Dug this dress out from the back of the wardrobe - I last wore it in 1996.

"Today seemed a good day to wear it again."

Fans loved the sentiment behind it and hoped it would prove lucky for the team as they face Italy at Wembley.

Instagram user kathrynmarsey said: "You look fab Naga. How many people can say they can still fit in a dress from 25 years ago?"

banksyboy1966 said: "Awesome Naga Looking gorgeous Come on England xx"

dereknicholls1 said: "Still fits you perfectly Naga! Let us hope England can make us all happy tonight."

Festivities are in full swing as fans savour the run-up to England's bid for Euros success, with the atmosphere branded "like Christmas - if Christmas came around every 55 years".

Crowds of supporters in high spirits are gathering in pubs across the country, with fans arriving en masse in London several hours ahead of Sunday night's kick-off.

Fans wearing team shirts, with faces painted in red and white and draped in the country's flag, have been partying outside Wembley.

Beach balls were thrown and, as excitement grew, some fans climbed on top of a bus outside the stadium, and scaled signposts and traffic lights in other areas of the capital.
