BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty hits back at troll who criticises high heels

Stylish Naga Munchetty bit back at a troll who mocked her for wearing killer heels on BBC Breakfast.

The presenter had fans cheering with a perfect clapback to some unnecessary online criticism.

Naga sparked shoe envy when she was spotted sporting the fabulous pair as she sat on the famous sofa at MediaCity.

But the heels didn't go down well with one viewer who felt compelled tweet their thoughts and asked for a discussion on the matter.

Her retort quickly put the fashion police in their place.

She bit back with simple style (Twitter)

"I’m not known for my own sartorial elegance but why would anyone like Naga Munchetty feel the need to wear high-heeled shoes like these on a BBC TV breakfast news programme? Discuss..." they wrote.

But Naga, 45, shut them down by replying simply: "Because I want to."

The response was applauded by her supportive followers. Ex Welsh rugby captain Gareth Thomas said: "If I could pull em off then I would deffo wear them!!! Plus she looks amazing, plus so many other things, I’m not understanding this mans point.."

Another said: "It was pretty much the first coherent thing I said to my husband this morning when I woke up - wow Naga’s boots are incredible!”

Naga left BBC viewers thrilled by her straight forward retort (BBC)

"Why the hell wouldn’t you want to wear fabulous heels like that?!?!" commented another.

And another fan pointed out: "Funnily enough I paid more attention to her insightful brilliance, as lovely as Naga’s heels are.

"P.s. I’m in my tracksuit bottoms and bikini top this afternoon because I want to."
