BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay grins as viewers spot Sally Nugent's racy on-air blunder

Jon Kay struggled to hide his amusement after co-host Sally Nugent suffered a brief blunder on BBC Breakfast. The pair were back at the helm of the BBC One news programme on Tuesday (August 30) following the Bank Holiday weekend.

The pair took to the famous red sofa to share and discuss the latest headlines. As they looked through the morning papers, Sally started talking about a home that has gathered a lot of traction on Rightmove. The TV star started talking about the back garden of the property as she picked up the newspaper piece which had been folded to show just the article in question.

However, as she held the story towards herself, she was unaware that a woman in slinky black underwear was visible on the other side. As she held the photo up and continued to speak, she suddenly changed the angle of the newspaper to hide the woman's body before then holding it up to show the image of the house she was talking about.

TV critic and broadcaster Scott Bryan shared the moment on Twitter and quickly racked up the response. Alongside the clip, he penned: "You can sense the moment someone said in Sally’s ear “CHANGE THE ANGLE YOU’RE HOLDING THAT NEWSPAPER."

He then added: "Anyway good morning everyone," alongside a still of Jon looking at the camera with a grin while Sally tried to hide her smile as she held the piece of newspaper the right way round.

Jon appeared to have noticed the blunder as he attempted to keep his face professional. But as Sally discussed the interest in the back garden, the cheeky co-host joked: "I don't think anybody is talking about the back garden". Sally told her co-star that she didn't see what happened.

Jon then explained there was "something on the back of the page", adding that it "distracted everybody". The duo were soon attempting to move on to talk about the home which has been garnering attention due to having a camel in the garden. But Sally was able to laugh at her live error as she quipped: "A camel thrown in but you don't get the lady on the back."

And BBC Breakfast viewers didn't miss it either. @suisseme tweeted: "@sallynugent @BBCBreakfast no one cares about the house now… #BBCBreakfast." @HenryPryor said: "Imagine what the gallery is yelling into @sallynugent's ear..." @CharmiZen shared: "Saw it straight away. "Good grief!" I thought. It was great fun seeing how the story was folded." @robshrl wrote: "Just went a bit pear shaped on @BBCBreakfast."
